Mirror Clock original to 1929 Ford?

Was the New Haven 8-day mirror clock appropriate to the Model A ford in 1929 as an aftermarket accessory?

Is the folding windshield stanchion that can be found on roadsters proper for roadster pickups? I've seen at leas one, but I can't find any evidence that they are proper on a pickup. Perhaps it was late models and not early models...or the other way around.

Alternator that looks like a generator?

Has anyone read about a generator to alternator conversion that is being done using a foreign car's alternator. It is supposed to be housed inside the generator so that the final product looks original.
Any specifics about this? Anyone???
